Hi! I'm the author of the novel The Melancholy Fate of Capt. Lewis and a collection of stories, The Venus Tree. I won the 2000 Dana Award for a novel-in-progress. My stories have appeared in Passages North, Natural Bridge and New Letters, among other magazines. I also teach fiction writing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
